Parents testify in court over their son’s mysterious death

Prosecution presented in court the parents of the Kianjokoma brothers, to testify on the final moments with their sons before their untimely death on August 3, 2021.

John Ndwiga and Catherine Gichuki informed court that they were in communication with their sons Benson Ndwiga and Emmanuel Ndwiga all through the day until late in the night when their phones went off.

They added that three days later, after their phones remained unreachable, they reported the matter to Runyenjes Police station where they received information that their sons had passed on.

The parents said the bodies of the two were discovered at Embu Level 5 Hospital Mortuary on August, 2021.

Six police officers: Benson Mputhia, Consolata Kariuki, Nicholas Cheruiyot, Martin Wanyama, Lilian Chemuna and James Mwaniki are facing charges of murder in relation to the two deceased. Prosecution led by ADPP, Gikui Gichuhi, has so far presented six witnesses in the trial with 12 more to testify.
